The music of the Sochi duo is woven from the sounds of sea noise, mountain winds and Slavic chants. The band is inspired by the legends of ancient traditions and modern club culture, uniting the native, the eternal, and the contemporary in their creative work.
The duo consists of vocalist and lyricist Maria Ivanova and composer, multi-instrumentalist Roman Kvachev. They were known as MIVARI until 2025, however, after releasing the third folk-house album «Zhar-Ptitsa», the musicians decided to highlight this genre as a separate project - this is how «Beloluna» was born. Today, all their joint albums and singles are released under this name.
In Beloluna's music, the sound of synthesizers and drum machines is combined with live instruments, and vibrant brass solos are woven into a minimalist electronic canvas. The creative union demonstrates the original view of Russian folklore and dance electronics. You can have fun at the city rave, dance round dances in a field, contemplate by the home hearth, or lull a baby to sleep in a cradle with their songs.
The duo will present the program filled with the folk magic and the drive of modern electronics at the «WORLD of Siberia».
