World Music Marathon last one day longer
The long awaited International Festival of World Music and Crafts “WORLD of Siberia” takes place in Shushenskoye in the south of the Krasnoyarsk region between 7 and 10 July.
“We look forward to spend unforgettable summer days with musicians, craftsmen and spectators! We didn't get a chance to meet face-to-face for almost three years. We will be incredibly glad to those who will come among the first. Dear friends, we are preparing a special program for all festival guests!” says Dmitry Sirotinin, Deputy Executive Director of the festival.
There will be a warm welcome and themed entertainment in authentic folk style. Already on 7th of July, “MIRA” Main Stage’s lights turn on and the participants of the “MIRA” World Music Award Competition show their talents in the performances. Audience and jury of the competition can appreciate folk songs, melodies and traditional dances.
After the competition, festival guests are invited to learn the simple folk dances, play the games and have fun in the evening party. It is held at the very heart of the WORLD of Siberia Festival. There will be no viewers here, everyone will become a participant of the event! All of us enjoy Slavic amusements and herbal tea from a samovar with sushki (bread rings).
The evening of the first festival day will end with the performances of the headliners. It is advised to take tourist mats and blankets in order to comfortably settle down in a meadow and get a lot of unforgettable emotions.
We also pay attention to the fact that the opening ceremony of the festival will take place, as planned, on July 8, on Friday.
